Summary

Quality first teaching is going to play a massive part in the post covid curriculum this academic year.  We will need to identify and address any learning gaps, ensure that we are  pushing forward proven strategies in our science teaching to enable students to feel confident in their abilities.  This course takes a look at 6 areas over the year, the cognitive science and the latest research behind why this strategy works and some practical ideas about how it could be implemented in the curriculum.  It is designed to be informative and useful for a science lead wanting to implement strategy across their faculty but also will be incredibly useful for Early Career Teachers upwards looking to improve their individual practise.
Session 5 - Identifying and addressing misconceptions.
Session 6 - Subject Specific Vocabulary
Sessions can be booked individually at a cost of £40 per session. Please email Sussex-surreySLP@downlands.org for details
