Maths in Science - Thinking Aloud RA298 / A378
Summary
We all have pupils who lose marks when carrying out calculation questions; mixing decimal places with significant figures, failing to show working out, rearranging equations and converting units are all potential areas of concern. This session looks at how we can use Thinking Aloud, a metacognitive strategy, to support pupils when answering calculation questions.
There is a 70% subsidy available from STEM Learning for maintained schools. Please note that this does not deduct the fee immediately. You will receive an invoice for the full amount and the subsidy will be released back to the school once the invoice has been paid and attendance at the session has been confirmed.
