Physics Teachers' Day 2024 RC298 / C253
Summary
The day will be a mix of activities hosted by Jodrell Bank and the Science Learning Partnership.
There will be workshops based around:
1. Space Physics.2. Working Scientifically - how developing skills can improve understanding across the physics curriculum and improve grades.3. Engagement - how to engage pupils and enthuse to them to pursue physics at post-16 level.4. A brief overview of GCSE Astronomy.
At points throughout the day there will also be a presentation from Jodrell Bank, a telescope talk and a film show in The Space Dome as well as opportunity to explore the various exhibitions.
There is a Teacher Release Payment subsidy of 70% for all eligible schools. Please email NMSLP@potteries.ac.uk to request the discount code that must be used at the time of booking. Please note that this code does not automatically deduct the cost at the point of booking. TRPs will be released back to the school once attendance of the CPD event has been confirmed.
