Summary
This one-day practical course is designed for technicians who are taking on/have responsibility for setting up chemistry practical activities. The aims of the course are to explore how to use CLEAPSS information to develop knowledge of how to setup school practicals safely, how to manage the waste and to gain confidence in dealing with emergencies with chemicals.

CLEAPSS support for working safely with chemicals
Necessary control measures
Working with chemicals safely for school practical work
Waste and recycling: An introduction
Chemical emergencies and the need for training: spills practical and fire demonstrations
