Digital industries
This set of three mini-interactive online games from Siemens explore a variety of digital industries:
- Cybersecurity
- Internet of Things
- Digital Twins
Each module gives a general overview of the subject and interactive activities to engage the pupils in the topic.
- The cybersecurity module includes a password encryption game using a Caeser cipher.
- The internet of things module includes some interactive activities which show how the connectivity between devices via the internet can help create a smart home and hospital
- The digital twins module includes a racing car simulation showing the affect on various car parts when the car accelerates and brakes, and a simulation of a car factory production line. Both activities show the value of digital twining in design.
At the end of each module there is a challenge to take away and complete, a section highlighting careers in the specified digital industry and an interactive quiz.
