Fraction Activities for Students Aged 11-13
A selection of resources published by BEAM for teachers of Key Stage Three mathematics. They include challenging problems and puzzles, open-ended investigations, cross-curricular activities, and resources to practise and consolidate students' mathematical understanding. The activities with their mathematical content are: *Percentage cards - arranging digits to make correct calculations *Fraction squares - dividing squares in to different fractions *Dividing squares - fractions that add up to 1 *Fractions of shapes - similar shapes *Limits - decimal numbers *Mixing paint - introduction to ratios. *Square the middle - investigating a number chain *Txting - averages and percentages *What's the pattern? - completing fractional patterns.
