Scratch

A ten-lesson sequence progressing from the basics of Scratch through to creating simple games. It includes:

  • drawing shapes and using repeats
  • accepting keyboard input to control the movement of sprites
  • planning algorithms using flow diagrams and executing them in Scratch
  • importing and using sprites
  • programming for interactivity
  • students evaluating their work against their own plans and criteria, and peer-evaluating each other.

The resource includes teacher presentations, activity sheets, code examples, evaluation sheets and homework tasks. A teacher-assessment grid is also provided with levels.
