The Grand Challenges – Our Futures programme aims to help young people develop the skills needed to bridge the gap between today’s learners and tomorrow’s career choices.

The Government’s Industrial Strategy sets out key Grand Challenge themes, aimed at putting the UK at the forefront of future industry. The four Grand Challenges – Artificial Intelligence, ageing society, clean growth and future mobility – are set to transform the way we live our everyday lives.  The first video is an introduction to the four grand challenges.

STEM Learning has developed a suite of four resource packages, each covering one of the Grand Challenges themes. The second video provides an overview of the Clean Growth resource package.

Clean Growth consists of three different activities which we can all relate to and allow us to see how we can cut household energy bills, reduce demand for energy and boost economic growth by embracing smart technologies.
