A Mars encounter of a virtual kind
The UK Association for Science and Discovery Centres is leading the celebrations for this year's National Astronomy Week, with a series of online events for schools and families.
This year’s National Astronomy Week is online, bringing many researchers and professionals together, with a full schedule of online events to choose from.
The focus this year is on Mars – which they describe as the most beautiful object in our night sky at this moment! There are sessions during the day and evening throughout the week, ending on Sunday 22 November.
All events are FREE, but you need to register for certain webinars, in order to ask questions LIVE to the researchers and space communicators. The sessions are suitable for all ages and all different interests, from robots to story-telling to aliens!
These sessions hope to spark curiosity and encourage everyone to look up in the November night sky.
