Bringing physics to life in the classroom

Subject Knowledge for Physics Teaching (SKPT) courses, delivered by The Ogden Trust in partnership with STEM Learning, provide free blended learning CPD for key stage 3 and key stage 4 teachers teaching physics without a physics specialism. The programme is delivered in a range of formats to best meet the needs and requirements of schools and teachers.

There are six modules available, and each will:

  • develop teaching skills and confidence in delivering lessons that bring physics to life in the classroom

  • consider mathematical problem-solving, conceptual challenges, practical work, and pedagogical reflections

  • link teachers to a supportive learning network led by experienced physics practitioner
