Digitisers: puzzles for GCSE and A Level maths students

This resource from Jonny Griffiths contains a range of puzzles designed for 14 to 17 year old maths students. In each puzzle, the digits one to six have been rubbed out and replaced with six squares labelled a to f. The task is to put the digits back in again correctly to make each statement true.

There are 50 puzzles in total, covering topics including arithmetic sequences, circle theorems, differentiation, linear equations, trigonometry, vectors and more. The resource includes detailed instructions, an example problem and complete solutions.

Each puzzle gets a difficulty rating; the hardest puzzles get three stars, the easiest just one. The puzzles are not arranged in any order; as with learning itself, you can dive in anywhere to get started.

Students can attempt these questions independently or as part of a group, and may use a calculator at any time.
