Fastest freeze challenge
This well structured resource from the IET provides a quick and efficient way of learning about ice, roads and the impact of salt spreading. Most children will have real-world experience of winter, perhaps slipping on ice themselves, or seeing the gritters out on the roads. This resource provides children with the challenge to see who can melt the ice fastest, whilst learning about saturated solutions and changes of state.
The resources provided include full lesson guidance, as well as wordsearch, providing a great opportunity to check understanding and vocabulary.
