Year 5 - stage 3

This resource supports Year 5 pupils to grow vegetables from seeds and to plot a line graph. Through this session pupils revise their learning on the requirements of plants for life and growth and plant their own vegetable seeds. The supporting activities are then completed over a series of weeks in order to give plants time to grow. As the plants grow pupils are provided with meaningful opportunities to apply their maths learning, from measuring and recording plant height to using this data to plot line graphs. This session is the third in a ten session long STEM project provided by NFU Education.
