This project allows children to set up a farm shop business and design, make and market a new food product using ingredients they have grown themselves. This project provides a range of opportunities to enhance Year 5 National Curriculum for:

  • Science; focusing on Plants, Animals, including humans
  • Maths; looking specifically at survey design, calculation methods to solve multi-step problems, calculating money, measuring using fractions and scales.
  • Design Technology; allowing pupils the opportunity to design and make packaging and produce food using food technology skills.
