Escape from Antarctica

With the capacity to cause a 60m rise in sea levels in this warming world, Antarctica is the focus of this series of activities which has been organized as an 'escape room' experience.  The resource has predominantly been designed to be presented electronically with students working through the tasks in small teams of three to four on a desktop computer, taking up to 90 minutes to complete. The materials can be presented to students as hard copy, for schools that have limited IT facilities.

The pack has deliberately been designed in such a way that it could be used as an introduction to Antarctica or to consolidate prior learning, therefore allowing flexibility within teaching. A set of examination-style questions based on the activity is included.
