Brilliant bread
From the British Nutrition Foundation, in partnership with the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB), this lesson plan and supporting resources aim to help children understand that bread is eaten in many forms all around the world, the importance bread as a carbohydrate plays in a healthy balanced diet and to perform simple food skills safely such as sieving, stirring, kneading and shaping.
This session contains a lesson plan, a bread snap game and advice sheets supporting setting up cooking with your class and support to ensure that food tasting is an enjoyable experience for all learners. Although this resource is designed for EYFS, it could be easily adapted to work across the primary phase.
