Great green soup
From the British Nutrition Foundation, in partnership with the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB), this lesson plan and supporting resources aim to help children name a range of different vegetables, explain that eating vegetables helps to keep us healthy and to perform simple food skills safely such as washing vegetables, cutting with a table knife and with scissors.
This session contains a lesson plan, an advice sheet to support setting up cooking with your class, a bingo game and a letter with an activity to send home to parents in order to continue the learning outside of the classroom. Although this resource is designed for EYFS, it could be easily adapted to work across the primary phase.
