Peer to Peer Assessment

This Teachers TV resource features Rich Walters, Teacher of Mathematics at Merchants Academy in Bristol, as he shows an easy-to-use idea where a set of differentiated questions, written on post-it notes, are used to facilitate peer assessment.

The technique empowers students and creates highly effective dialogue, enabling students to learn from each other. Because the questions are carefully linked to the Key Stage Three Framework, students also gain a good understanding of their attainment levels and identify what is required for them to progress to the next level.
