Developing Knowledge of Low Carbon Technologies

Produced by the Learning Skills Improvement Service, these materials help to demonstrate effective practice. From Grantham College, this case study looks at the themes of knowledge and technology transfer (KTT) and STEM skills for the future. This case study describes an activity to update staff knowledge and understanding of low carbon technologies. This was required so that they could deliver a range of courses for people working in the construction industry. The model of delivery, with half-day CPD events targeted at relevant staff, proved successful with excellent participation and feedback from staff. The college intends to expand and extend this model of professional development to other staff members.
