Aluminium: Cradle to Grave

The resource pack is produced by The Centre for Industry Education Collaboration (CIEC). It looks at the life-cycle and environmental impact of aluminium products.

Student activities and investigations help to illustrate curriculum science in real-life contexts. This includes:
* Constructing a cradle to grave analysis of aluminium
* Studying the use of energy and raw materials, and the impact of emissions at different stages in the manufacture and use of aluminium products
* Evaluating data and production of an ecoprofile for aluminium
* Identifying ways of reducing the environmental impact of aluminium

These activities allow students to consider topics such as sustainable development, environmental impact, energy use and climate change.
