Produced by FootageVault, these videos from NASA illustrate the effects of apparent weightlessness as astronauts live and work in space. Clips include astronauts in Skylab, the Space Shuttle and the International Space Station. The clips can be used to illustrate forces, movement and how objects behave in space. It should be noted that when in the International Space Station, or similar, the station and astronauts in it are orbiting the Earth in what is effectively a perpetual 'freefall' situation. This gives an effect of weightlessness. Indeed a similar situation is found during training when personnel go into freefall in a special Jumbo jet (affectionately called the 'Vomit Comet').
