5. Chemicals for Agriculture

This Association for Science Education (ASE) publication about chemicals for agriculture was developed in association with Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI). At the time, ICI was one of the world's great manufacturing and trading organisations. It was the largest public company in the United Kingdom and one of the largest chemical companies in the world. The Agricultural Division was one of the largest of the divisions, employing 7,000 people and manufacturing basic chemicals and fertilisers on a huge scale, mainly at Billingham.

The booklet contained guidance for teachers and notes for students. It included activities suitable for students aged 11 to 16.
