Explore and examine a range of relevant practicals for technicians to support students with the practical endorsement and skills required at A level.
It can often be difficult finding suitable practical for A level biology that are quick, easy and effective. This course has been designed to bring together a range of engaging biology practical work for the A Level specifications, for technicians to review and take back to their institutions.
The course has been developed on six main strands to make sure its relevant to technicians: where to source the equipment, how to set it up, how the practical runs in the classroom, scientific background to the practical, health and safety and the use of technology of classroom.
This biology course will explore and examine a range of relevant practicals including microbiology, plants and photosynthesis, dissections, molecular biology with genetic transformation and electrophoresis, physiology and microscopy, all for technicians to support students with the practical endorsement and skills required at A Level.
You will be able to:
- describe effective practicals and new technologies that support students working in Biology
- develop new biology skills and knowledge in practical work
- effectively implement engaging biology practicals in their institutions
