Summary

This one day event held at the the National STEM Learning Centre will explore a range of activities that can be used to inspire and engage pupils in science.Activities will include: how to run an engaging STEM club, taking pupils on science trips and visits and where you can go, making the most of your school grounds, lesson starters and plenaries, and how to create a safe but exciting demonstration lecture.These activities can link into how to use the pupils premium in science.

Outcomes

You will be able to:

  • develop and implement a range of activities that can be used to enthuse pupils about science
  • describe enrichment activities to others in the school to build capacity

ENTHUSE Award

ENTHUSE Awards are bursaries which are available to teachers, lecturers, teaching assistants and technicians from state funded schools, academies or colleges across the UK. ENTHUSE Awards contribute towards the costs of attending world-class continuing professional development (CPD) provided by the National STEM Learning Centre.
