This CPD practical provides the skills and confidence to plan and facilitate learning with opportunities to discuss a range of practical organisational strategies.


Do science lessons in your school feel like an accident waiting to happen?

How can you carry out exciting, practical, enquiry driven science lessons without losing sleep over safety or worrying that chaos will ensue?

This practical course will provide you with the skills and confidence to plan and facilitate learning. There will also be opportunities to discuss a range of practical organisational strategies that ensure appropriate behaviour for learning.

This is a residential course, fees include meals and accommodation for the duration of the course. Course fees vary for participants outside the UK. Please contact enquiries@stem.org.uk for more information.


You will be able to:

  • identify a range of techniques to manage effective behaviour for learning in primary science
  • describe opportunities to improve the learning environment
  • confidently plan and facilitate learning in primary science
  • action plan changes in your practice resulting from personalised learning on this course
