Summary

Gain an awareness of the nature and breadth of opportunities for linking science and literacy. Recognising the importance of ‘reading across the curriculum’, this session will help you maximise opportunities for developing reading through science. You will explore strategies for raising attainment in science through integrating reading activities into the science lesson and consider how to use science texts as an effective stimulus for science.

Outcomes

You will be able to:
