Verbal feedback

Purpose: Providing students with verbal feedback on their work avoids problems some students encounter when interpreting written comments. Using digital technology to record and then provide access to verbal feedback saves the teacher valuable lesson time and can be replayed by the student at will.

Teaching approach: Some apps, such as Puppet Edu, allow the import of images or clips of students work, which are combined with a voice message in response to the work. The file is then shared with students. Other apps use digital technology to provide students with easy access to recorded feedback from their teacher.
