Mathematical activities from special classrooms

A collection of practical fun activities that are appropriate for children in foundation classrooms (as well as special classrooms) which help young children develop early concepts of number and measure.

Every activity is described in detail and all necessary resources are listed and related activities are given which is great for planning.

The book shows levels that were linked to a learning outcome, but these do not reflect the current curriculum, hence the reduced price.    However the book still contains many good ideas for the early years classroom, with activities having been used successfully in classrooms in both mainstream and special schools.

All the activities focus on the very early stages of mathematical learning and have been developed around the interest of the children. The use of familiar equipment and much loved toys together with songs and rhymes which children enjoy has been the common factor throughout.
