It's alive: year 1 unit 1 - living organisms

Scholastic Primary Science is an exciting multi-media teaching resource for the whole of KS1 and KS2. The series comprises 24 units, each on a separate topic, with 4 units per year. Each unit has 5 cards, one per Extended Lesson, and 2 CD-ROMs. The Activities CD-ROM has interactive versions of the Cards with expanded electronic presentations and activities for interactive whiteboards and computers. The Planning and Assessment CD-ROM contains interactive assessments for pupils on particular scientific concepts.

This CD-ROM also contains a full electronic teacher's resource book with extensive guidance and support. It's Alive is a Year 1 module focusing on: What a living thing is and how animals move; what a plant is and how they grow and change; what an animal is and how they grow and change; the importance of senses and how animals stay alive; and environments and how living things interact with each other. Each unit has 5 cards, one per Extended Lesson, and 2 CD-ROMs.
