British Science Week: primary activity pack (2021)
Designed for British Science Week 2021 on the theme of “Innovating for the future”, this resource contains a range of different activities suitable for a whole school science week. Designed with Home Learning in mind. There is lots of support for parents supporting activities at home and for teachers running sessions remotely. It also includes a section on how to invite a STEM Ambassador to your science week to provide a video session talking about their job and how it links to science and technology.
The activities cover a range of topics and include:
- Recording school electricity usage
- Jenga Herd Immunity
- Debating selective breeding of animals for food
- Creating a model showing gut bacteria
- Making a spectroscope
- Designing a Robo-Bug
- Building a weather station
