Year 3 - Stage 6
This resource provides a lesson plan and supporting resources that help Year 3 pupils to explore the part that flowers play in the life cycle of flowering plants. Throughout this session children will explore the processes of pollination and fertilisation in flowering plants. After a hands on experience of dissecting flowers and closely examining the key parts the children will be supported to build and label a flower sculpture. The presentation helps to support children’s understanding and offers opportunities for critical thinking and questioning. This session is the sixth in a ten session STEM project provided by NFU Education.
