Fantastic fish
From the British Nutrition Foundation, in partnership with the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB), this lesson plan and supporting resources aim to help children understand that there is a wide range of fish which can be used to make a variety of food dishes, that we should eat fish as part of a healthy balanced diet and to perform simple food skills safely such as mixing, dividing and spooning.
This session contains a lesson plan, fish dish game, display photographs, an advice sheet to support setting up cooking with your class and a letter to send home to parents in order to continue the learning outside the classroom. Although this resource is designed for EYFS, it could be easily adapted to work across the primary phase.
