Polygons (Regular)
This interactive excel file has a series of sheets showing nine different regular polygons. Each polygon can be rotated and also shown with or without the circumscribing circle. They can be shown with or without the radii.
The next sheet shows a table of questions related to these and other regular polygons. Students need to find the exterior angle and the sum of the interior angles. In order to find the side length, perimeter and area of the polygons trigonometry would need to be used.
There are a further four sheets of questions on related topics which may be suitable for duplication for classroom use.
Note
This program was designed by be viewed on a screen with a resolution of 1024 x 768. Users may have to adjust the resolution of their screen for the pages to display as was originally intended. The program uses macros which need to be enabled on users’ machine.
