Fractions, Decimals and Percentages

In this activity, students have to use their knowledge of fractions, decimals and percentages in order to check whether the correct answers have been given. By checking the given answers and spotting errors, students identify who committed the crime, who the victim was and who were the other two suspects, where the crime was committed and when.

The data sheet provides students with information about four people and a question to answer. The information on the sheet is used to help solve the whodunnit. Students are required to be able to find a fraction of an amount, a percentage of an amount, increase an amount by a percentage, order fractions, decimals and percentages and compare fractions, decimals and percentages.
