This resource, commissioned by SCORE (Science Community Representing Education) and published in April 2013, reports on the findings of research into the nature of resourcing and funding of practical science within schools and sixth form colleges. The aim was to identify and understand types of issues that might be encountered and to suggest actions.

The evidence showed disparities of funding levels and resourcing between different regions, leading to variations in the experiences of 11-16 and post-16 students. The report raises concerns and presents detailed data evidence to support its conclusions and makes recommendations for SCORE about how to influence policy and provide information and support to schools and colleges.
