Understanding Technological Approaches

This report, published in 1994, evaluated the research activities and results of the Assessment of Performance Unit (APU) project in design and technology designed by the Technology Education Research Unit at Goldsmiths College. Data taken from the APU tests undertaken by students was used to determine the levels at which students were dealing with tasks. The data showed how students responded to design and technology lessons across key stages and compared the work of girls and boys. The report was prepared by Professor Richard Kimbell and supported by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC)
