Smart Bricks for Smart Plants
Produced by The Centre for Industry Education Collaboration (CIEC), these resources help to put curriculum science in a real life context. In these activities, children compare plants grown in a variety of nutrients. They investigate the best conditions to grow turf for a sports pitch.
During the activities, children also look at plants and see how the structures of the different parts gives leaves strength and durability and root systems the ability to anchor the plant and search out water.
The activities are supported by extensive teacher guidance and children's activity sheets.
