Nuffield Co-ordinated Sciences: Physics Worksheets

Most of the Nuffield Co-ordinated Sciences Physics Worksheets were the same in both editions of the course. Extra worksheets were published in an Upgrade Pack for the second edition. There is a full list of all the physics worksheets at the start of the physics section of the upgrade file.

Most of the Physics worksheets were designed to accompany experimental work. Those designed to introduce pupils to practical skills or advance their understanding were generally presented as detailed guides to what should be done. Others, designed to accompany investigations, did no more than start pupils working in a profitable direction. For some of the investigational worksheets, Help sheets were produced.

Finally there was another type of worksheet designed to encourage students to take a broader view of physics in its social context, or its relationship to other sciences and technology. The physics worksheet file and upgrade pack included between one and twelve worksheets for each of the 21 chapters in the Physics students’ textbook for the course.
