Improving Teaching and Learning in Schools
Produced by the Teaching and Learning Research Programme (TLRP), this report is based on 20 TLRP projects run in 2000. These investigated aspects of teaching and learning in formal and informal educational settings in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The report offers a summary of the 2006 ‘stock-take’ of some of the big themes that emerged from the projects. It addresses cross-curricula concerns such as the use of ICT to enhance learning and creating environments for better learning. Pages 18-20 of the report focus on recommendations for science teaching and learning from evidence-based research projects.
