Engineering Summer School
This London Engineering Project case study, part of the Royal Academy of Engineering collection, describes a summer school for Year 10 students designed to encourage and inspire participants to go on to higher education.
The 2010 engineering summer school was called 'Engineering Chocolate' whilst previous courses had covered robotics and concrete. The resource describes the five-day programme, which included a variety of topics and teaching styles to keep students engaged.
The LEP aims to encourage girls to participate in engineering and the resource describes the proportions of participants and ambassadors.
