New Degree - Integrated Sciences

The Stimulating Physics Network worked with the Universities of Leicester, London South Bank, Surrey and East Anglia to develop a new interdisciplinary degree course.

Two video clips introduce the course, presented by Professor Derek Raine at Leicester and Professor Jim Al-Khalili at Surrey. The third clip discusses the problem-based learning approach that the University of Leicester adopted to its course.

The Integrated Sciences degree course contains one third physics with the remaining two thirds made up of the other scientific disciplines. The course offers a route into studying physics for those students who do not have the appropriate qualifications, and for mature and other 'non-traditional' students.
