The lament of the green bean
This play explores how other countries provide food for us in the UK and the impact that this has on the environment and local people. A family are transported to various locations in the World in see how foods such as green beans, chocolate, and the ingredients for many processed foods are sourced. Learning about Food Security - the access to healthy food and optimal nutrition for all.
Great for use in an assembly or in class. It contains roles for everyone in a class, music and sound effects and guidance for performance.
Written in collaboration with research scientists as part of The Crunch, created by the Wellcome Trust. It is designed to promote learning and discussions about our food, our health and our planet.
