Deciding Destinations

This collection of activities are based on the premise that the school is sending a rover to Mars. It is the job of the class to decide where the rover should land on Mars. Children work in groups to investigate 6 potential landing sites and weigh up the pros and cons of each. To reach a decision the class will need to discuss their findings through facilitated debate. The mission and assessment criteria in this activity are all based on that of the European ExoMars rover being sent to Mars in 2020. Activities are provided for KS2, KS3, KS4 and KS5.

This collection has been created by ESERO-UK.
