Mathematics education policies and reports: international comparisons
This collection contains a variety of reports published by a number of organisations comparing mathematical performance across countries. The reports include:
- Primary Problems - a First Curriculum for Mathematics, produced by Politeia, which responds to the developments in the educational reform of mathematics, published in 2012.
- Is the UK an Outlier? an International Comparison of Upper Secondary Mathematics Education produced by the Nuffield Foundation addresses a number of questions about policy and participation in upper secondary mathematics education.
- Solving the Maths Problem: International Perspectives on Mathematics Education outlines the core choices facing mathematics education and builds on the recommendations of the 2011 Vorderman Report.
- TIMSS 2011 International Results in Mathematics has the goal of helping countries make informed decisions about how to improve teaching and learning in mathematics and science.
