Summary

There is no one size fits all approach to assessment. However, this course will give primary subject leaders and teachers the opportunity to explore best practise in primary science assessment and a chance to investigate the resources that rea available in the wider educational world.

This course is ideal for primary school teachers who want to familiarise themselves with the current expectations around assessment and children's progression in science. You will explore the difference between assessment, moderation and tracking, as well as considering how best to assess primary science in your school.

There is a 70% subsidy available from STEM Learning for maintained schools. Please note that this does not deduct the fee immediately.  You will receive an invoice for the full amount and the subsidy will be released back to the school once the invoice has been paid and attendance at the session has been confirmed.

Who is the course leader?

  • Kathryn Horan

Part-time independent consultant (AKA That Science Lady!), part time teacher and Science Leader in Leeds with experience across all 3 primary key...
