This conference is ideal for teachers completing the ECF and entering the phase where they are ready to experiment with pedagogy in practice. A series of sessions focused on pedagogy and using the recommendations from the EEF Improving Secondary Science report, with a focus on developing skills through the lens of practical work.

Workshops include:

  • Boosting Practical Work in KS3 Chemistry with Jaya Tamber (Royal Society of Chemistry)
  • KS3 Biology with Josh Smallbone
  • KS3 Physics with Mike Melling
  • KS4 Practical Skills: Full-scale vs microscale with Jaya Tamber (Royal Society of Chemistry)
  • KS4 Biology with Josh Smallbone
  • KS4 Physics with Mike Melling


There is a Teacher Release Payment subsidy of 70% for all eligible schools. Please email to request the discount code that must be used at the time of booking.  Please note that this code does not automatically deduct the cost at the point of booking. TRPs will be released back to the school once attendance of the CPD event has been confirmed.
