Inclusive and accessible STEM lessons for SEND learners: the role of technology NC007 / C23
Summary
Technology and digital tools can support SEND learners in many ways. In this course, you will explore a range of digital tools to improve accessibility in STEM subjects: technology for communication, accessibility tools built into to mainstream applications, and apps and websites which support accessibility. You will explore effective approaches to support learners with a wide range of additional needs and disabilities to ensure that your classroom and STEM teaching is as inclusive as possible.

Outcomes
You will:
- enhance your understanding of the issues pupils who have challenges that affect their ability to access the curriculum face in the STEM classroom
- develop techniques to actively engage SEND learners through technology in STEM subjects
- recognise highly effective strategies for teaching and learning of SEND pupils using technology
- action plan changes in your practice to use technology to support the SEND pupils
