NQT/RQT Support Programme- Secondary RH298 / D87
This popular NQT course from previous years has now gone online for 2020-2021. It is a chance to meet and chat to other NQTs (and RQTs) and to work together to revisit and refresh the strategies that you learned throughout your training, guided by Alan Denton, senior facilitator for STEM Learning.
All of the topics have a science-specific focus, and will discuss both the theory, and look at some concrete examples you can use straight away in your teaching.
You will be asked if there are topics that you would like covered in the later sessions.
There is a gap task between sessions 3 and 4.
By the end of all four sessions you will be able to:
- share ideas and best-practice with a network of like-minded teachers
- link evidence-based approaches to your teaching, and make sensible decisions about how you can ‘upgrade’ the tools you already use
- identify future opportunities for your development and progress
