EYFS - Starters for Science* Suitable for Home Learning*

Starters for science provides easy to run activities suitable for children from 4-6 years of age.  They may be used in school or at home to help children develop their understanding of the world around them.  Resources are linked to  areas within the Early Years Framework and aim to support teachers to ensure children learn in a fun and easy way.  Each sheet contains key vocabulary, key learning points and easy to resource activities that provide children with the stimulus to  talk about themselves and  explore the world around them. During the Covid-19 school closures, children in nursery setting or reception may have missed opportunities to explore and gain an understanding of the world around them. These sheets are aimed at supporting teachers wishing to ensure children have covered learning from the previous school year before beginning learning this academic year. They could also be used in cases where children are learning from home.
