Introducing real analysis

Analysis is a basic tool of mathematics, and an understanding of the properties of functions of a real variable is an essential part of analysis. Unfortunately the introductory course in analysis, now taught in almost all universities, probably causes the most difficulties of all the  first - year courses on mathematics. This book is intended to provide an outline of some of the basic ideas.
